The Exile

“Turn around,” murmured Stigr. In the bright, bright moonlight Shard could at last see some of his features – and swallowed a squawk. A slashing scar gnarled the place where his left eye should have been and though he was tall at the shoulder, he was gaunt and wiry as a gull.
That is what became of an exile, Shard thought.
